"Doggie Doo"

Rescue Groups and Animal Shelters

adoptable dogStFrancisThe main purpose of the Doggie Doo is to raise funding for local pet shelters, raise awareness of the plight of homeless dogs, and get people interested in adopting one of the many dogs available. In 2010, 46 rescue groups/shelter attended. This is a wonderful way to showcase your adoptable dogs and acquire donations for your group.

Rescue Organizations and Shelters will be provided 20'x20' spaces at no charge to the group. Set-up time will be available from 8-10:00 A.M. on the day of the event, Saturday, September 15, 2012.

RescuePuppyRescue groups/shelters desiring to participate must complete a "Rescue Group Application and Agreement Form", and submit it no later than August 1, 2012. Submission details are on the form.

Local animal shelters/rescue organizations - those of Lorain County and those who have benefited from Doggie Doo funds dispersal in the past - are encouraged to submit an "Application for a 2012 Doggie Doo Grant". As we did last year, we are using the Grant Application process to ensure equity in the dispersal of funds received through sponsorships and vendor fees.

IrishSetterRescuePlease note, for the safety of all animals in attendance, animal shelters/rescue groups and individuals attending must hold any and all relinquishment transactions outside the purview of the Doggie Doo event, i.e., before or after the event and/or not at the event locale (Tappan Square) during the time the event is being held.

Rescue groups and other organizations attending will be listed on this web page as forms are received (see list below). Check back often - new information for the 2012 Doggie Doo is arriving daily!
