Mingle on Main Street - 1st Thursday of the Month from 6-8p

Get a jump start on the weekend and enjoy some socializing at various venues in downtown Oberlin.

 

Coffee on College Street - 2nd Tuesday of the Month from 8-9a

Oberlin’s organizations and businesses are encouraging all members to attend these fun and informative meetings to work together in improving and promoting our town with one convenient meeting at the Chamber/Main Street offices.

 

Spring Egg Roll - Saturday before Easter

Kids 0-8 will enjoy looking for candy-filled eggs and hanging out with the Easter Bunny at Tappan Square in downtown Oberlin.

 

Big Parade - First Saturday in May

Created and organized by Oberlin College students as a way to celebrate art, Spring, the community and fun!  The parade starts at Langston Middle School, winds through downtown and ends at Tappan Square.

 

Pride Day - May 19th

Spring cleaning for Oberlin!  Take pride in your community and do your part to beautify our community by participating in this fun day of planting flowers, cleaning, and camaraderie.

 

Juneteenth - The “teenth” Saturday in June

June 19, 1865 is considered the date that the last slaves were freed.  Embrace Oberlin’s abolitionist heritage.  Celebrate Juneteenth!

 

Chalk Walk - June 23, 2007

Watch professional artists recreate works from the Allen Art Museum on the sidewalks of downtown Oberlin or create a masterpiece of your own!  All supplies provided.

 

Summer Music Series - July - August

Friday nights starting at 7pm on Tappan Square.  Enjoy a variety of musical performances by area musicians.

 

Sidewalk Sales - First Friday and Saturday in August

Great merchandise at great prices in historic downtown Oberlin. 

 

Vintage Days/Family Fun Fair - First Saturday in August

Classic Cars, entertainment and hands-on activities for children all day.

 

City-wide Garage Sale -TBA, weekend in September

If you’re looking for it, you will probably find it.  From furniture, to clothing to appliances, all you have to do is look.

 

Doogie Doo & Pooch Parade - September 22, 2007

A fundraiser for local Lorain County animal shelters and a paws-itively fun-filled day for all attendees – dogs and their people alike!

 

Retail Design Workshop - November 8th

Merchants, get your creative juices flowing and prepare for the upcoming holiday season with a retail design workshop focused on helping you to use your space to put your products in their best light.  A minimal fee will be charged for this event.

 

Arrival of Santa & Tree Lighting - Friday after Thanksgiving

Visit with Santa and watch Oberlin light up for the holidays.  Hot chocolate, cookies, and a chili cook-off keep it interesting for the adults!

 

Festival of Trees - Saturday after Thanksgiving

Annual fundraiser featuring food, music and dancing, a silent auction and more!
